Russian As A Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition

Research on second language acquisition is a key issue in psycholinguistics. Lexicon acquisition is a relatively weak research area in second language acquisition. The research on lexicon acquisition mostly takes place in English language field. In this thesis, the writer takes Russian language as its corpus, making an analysis of lexicon acquisition of Russian language as a second language.This thesis first gives an overview of second language acquisition research; describes second language lexicon; elaborate on theoretical foundation and research methods of second language acquisition; analyze the psychological and cognitive mechanism of acquisition of second language lexicon. Then, according to the characteristics of Russian lexicon, the thesis put its emphasis on the analysis of the process of lexicon acquisition of Russian as second language, lexicon transfer and lexicon petrifaction in acquisition of Russian lexicon. In the last part, a brief analysis is made on the revelation in Russian lexicon teaching.
