In the history of psychology, since the period of Freud psychologists have been paying much attention to the self,it has become one of the core concepts to explain the phenomenon of clinical and social the psychology. Not only for emotions and motivation to launch, but also it is the organizer of personal information processing and a part of the process. It have a direct impact on the Cognitive, the impact of temporal information processing is one aspect.Human beings have been living in time, but psychological time is different from physical time.Subjective human perception of time and experience constitute the important context of a human understanding of life experiences to explain human behavior and cognitive structure and have a tremendous impact on thinking, emotion and behavior.Time insight is closely related to people's memory and reasoning,to the current timing of the grasp of time management,to decision-making for the future.Time insight is closely linked to with the values of the time, the pursuit of the future of personal ideals and self-monitoring,as well as their achievement motivation, the orientation of work ethic and so on.In this study, different types of processing including different levels of self-processing were designed in order to study the unique aspects self in temporal duration perception.Study one used a dual tasks, and face picture as the experimental materials, had subjects replicated the showing time the faces of the self, the faces of others and a mosaic pattern picture respectively. The results showed that there was a significant difference in temporal perception in the three patterns of self faces, the faces of others and mosaic pictures no matter the intervals are long or short. In the TMS experiment, subjects were imposed magnetic stimulation on the left prefrontal, right prefrontal and the parietal context. The results showed that in the long interval when the left and right prefrontal are stilmulated, due to inhibition of self-processing context, there's an effect of a marked change in the temporal perception under the there tasks and the difference was no longer significant. And to stimulate the parietal lobe, the impact is not significant. When the time intervals were short this effect was not significant.Study two also used a dual task.We used Chinese adjectives as experimental materials, had subjects judged, respectively, the suitability of these adjectives to describe himself, described the suitability of Liu Xiang,as well as appraise justice of adjectives. At the same time subjects had to estimate the temporal duration. The results show that there was a significant difference in time perception in the three conditions of the self, familiar people and the semantic processing. The estimation of temporal interval was the shortest in the familiar person condition and second in the self condition. In the TMS experiment, subjects were imposed trancranial magnetic stimulation on the left prefrontal on the right prefrontal, the left prefrontal and parietal respectively. The results showed that the estimation of temporal interval became the shortest in the self condition when the left and right side prefrontal cortex were stimulated. And to stimulate the parietal lobe, the impact is not significant.
