Researches into mainly focused on such aspects as textual research, detailed annotation, paraphrasing, etc. before twenty century. After that, Hanfei was concern more and more with his thought and the style of his prose, but not his parables, not to mention a systematic research. This dissertation in order to study Hanfei's parables mostly explores these parables'conception, subject selection, artistic characteristics falling into three chapters.Hanfei and the conception of his parables. Hanfei was the most prominent representative of Thoughts of Law in the Warring States Period, he summed his thoughts up ending with a book named , in which parables were highly esteemed and established his outstanding status in Chinese literature history. This dissertation firmly believes that the conception of Hanfei's parables is: the parables which used to express Hanfei's thoughts were narrated by Hanfei and not real. With this standard, the dissertation will evaluate these parables in one by one.Subject selection of Hanfei's parables. Generally speaking, Hanfei's parables were based on quotation and adaption of fairy tales, processing and alteration of historical events and his original creation. These ways of parables almost includes all sources of parables of Pre-Qin Period. Among them, the main way of Hanfei's parables is to alter and transform historical events. Then, the dissertation will analyze the reason that Hanfei chose historical stories not myth as subject.Artistic characteristics of Han Fei-Zi's parables. To start with, realism is brilliant characteristic of his parables which shows in these ways of subject selection, producing images and expressing feelings. It is quite different from other authors in the same period. What's important is the magnificent construction of"parables group", which blazes the whole construction by employing parallism, progressiveness and repetition, etc.Sum up, the dissertation is a systematic research of parables in because of its value which based on carefully reading and analyzing the text and profiting from the researches of predecessors.
