Poetry is a bright pearl in China's cultural promenade . Without it , China's literary history will be overshadowed embellishment. Monks' poetry, whether in Buddhism or the history of Chinese literary is remarkable things, and it is a significant sign on Buddhism in China. But over the years, because of the small number of Monks' poetry, there are very few relevant studies. In recent years, more and more monks and their poetry favored by scholars, researchers and works on monks and poetry on constantly emerging, so that research in this area continues to develop. Nevertheless, as the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties and the monk poetry a whole, certain types of image analysis of their research are rare. The thesis tries to start by the special kind of female imagery from Monks' poetry. By analyzing the image characteristics of these women to explore the Sui and Tang dynasties more monks described why there were such imagery, as well as the range of monks at the time of such imagery by the Buddhist culture and the shackles of traditional Chinese culture.The thesis is divided into five parts: the first part of chapter preface introduce the current research in monks and poetry as well as the characteristics of the status quo, that is, the results of numerous studies, individual and collective research both studies, poetry creative research and theoretical study poetry simultaneously and so on.
