Maternal Ethics Narrative, Female Writing In The New Era

In this paper, by carding the mother images in the Chinese ancient literary and contemporary literary, the writing of 'motherhood myth' will be analysed from view point of femalism. The discourse sphere of maternal concept is rich and varied, it has mulriple concept of consciousness and symbolic meaning. Two concepts in the discourse sphere are so opposed that the maternal concept is more difficult to understand. There is a difference between the maternal images made by the patriarchal society under the 'motherhood myth' and rewriting and reinterpreting motherhood against the sex bias. In the universal ideology, maybe motherhood is the generalest and familiarest. But motherhood also is complex and rich. The long-term construction of male discourse make us unfamiliar with real motherhood.After the gradual disappearance of political discourse hegemony the female writers in the New Period started to show the common and rich heart of motherhood, and create many images of 'ugly mother' and ' vicious mother'. They explored the deep meaning of motherhood subject by analysing and writing the motherhood, wich strongly disconstructed the discourse center of male society about 'motherhood myth ' and overturned Chinese traditional aesthetic mental set about motherhood. Meantime, it's shown that the dilemma of motherhood position obssessed modern wowen, namely how to balance the keeping sexual self-independence and the traditional motherhood of self-self-sacrifice. In 90s,under the radicalization of world femalism female writers who were swept along the 'Appreciation of the Ugly ' trend, bombarded and blasphemed traditional 'mother love' all-dimensionally and massly. Many female writers undermined maternal image at the cost of maternal nature, there for they went the extreme of self-hurt and the new mistaken ideas of writing. When many female writers criticized the mother images and even unglified them, Yan Geling introduce female archetype, namely Great Mother image. From cultural and anthropological meaning, she disintegrated grand male narratives with the narratives of motherliness and showed a new explanation of maternity. The innocent and simple human nature was evoked in the analysis of maternity.Western women concern about the moral ethic and explore the real situation of women's life by the super-sex 'the third standpoint' namely subject consciousness and reasonable sexual care. They anticipate to join with men in order to criticize patriarchal culture and suppression caused by the sex bias. They advocate, on the premise of keeping sexual self-independence, to actively construct the sexual harmonous ethic order on the equality between women and men. At the same time, female nature should be repected in the maternal sacrifice, and eventally the women's self-value can be achieved in the tendency of their natural care.The final cultural direction of feminism was not to overturn male-centralized culture and construct female-centralized culture, but just against discrimination and suppression. Feministic Ethics should have a open mind and get out of the ruts of Male Monism Ethics . Eliminating sexual opposition and conflict, sexual relationship should be based on persuing equality of traditional feminism beyond feminism itself. It needs that female writers, from sex subject view, find the social and historic and cultural reasons of making mother weak in nature, and care about mother's deep humanity where is good and evil. The rich life connotation of women are cognized by deconstructing motherhood myth in order to improve self-belief and value system, get rid of the dilemma of identifing and manifesting of mother images, finally achieve the writing ideal of sexual harmony.
