As an important human cognitive ability,Selective attention is important for precise behavior and control of spatial orientation.Early in 1985,Downing and Pinker had made use of monocular depth clues in the real three-dimensional context, and found that the reaction time was significantly longer in the selective attention of three-dimensional space than in the two-dimensional space. So allocation of attention resources in the depth of the direction is exist. However,in the three-dimensional study in the perceptual representation(computer simulation),which Iavecchia and the Folk had made in 1996,they found that the selective attention had a "depth blind" phenomenon. There was no allocation of attention resources in the direction of depth and the reaction time was not significantly longer in the selective attention of three-dimensional space. After that,Paul Atchley (1997) and Shihui Han(2005) pointed out that the characterization of slective attention in three-dimensional space was mainly affected by the peripheral exogenous cues and distraction stimulus. But the "depth blind" phenomenon is mostly found in the selective attention reach when the central endogenous attention guided by center clues or no distraction stimulus presented. Monocular clues is a main form of perceptual representation(computer simulation) in the three-dimensional space, and previous studies did not clarify whether the distraction stimulus was an important factor in three-dimensional space which leads the loss of attentional reaction time. They didn't distinguish the reason of the loss of attentional reaction time in three-dimensional space was mainly from the nature of the differences of the central and peripheral clues or the impact of the internal control mechanisms. The study is made in the three-dimensional space of perceptual representation(computer simulation) and aims at further exploring the factors of the exogenous selective attention which is top-down controled by the impact of the perceptual load and the attention set.So as to deduce that selective attention in three-dimensional space of perceptual is maily found in the process of perception, and mainly affects by the bottom-up control mechanisms. There are three experiments in this study as follows:the first one was made in two conditions with distraction stimulus and without distraction stimulus. And asked subjects to complete the target detection task in order to explore the impact of distraction stimulus independently, which will verify the existence of perception process is critical factors in the selective attention of the three-dimensional space of perceptual representation(computer simulation). On the basis of experimentⅠ,experimentⅡand experimentⅢadopt two attention set,and exam the impact of top-down control in exogenous attention of three-dimensional space. We will find impact of the attention set by separation of perception load. And review fixed attention's affection for external attentive sellecting with low-lever visual-load condition in experimentⅠ.We make use of high perception load in experimetentⅢ,and explore the impact of attentional set, this will further infer the attentional control in three-dimensional space. With the results and discussion in the experiments,we can get the following conclusions:ExperimentⅠ:Compared to two-dimensional space, only in distraction stimulus conditions, the reaction time of exogenous attention in three-dimensional space was significantly longer than in two-dimensional space,so there's attentional resource allocated to the the direction of depth. It explains that distraction stimulus is a key factor in "depth blind" phenomenon. It also support the selective attention in three-dimensional space is occur in the perception process.ExperimentⅡ: compared to the two-dimensional space, only in the absence of attentional set,the reaction time in the selective attention of three-dimensional space is significantly longer than the two-dimensional space, but there are no reaction time diffences in atteiononal set block, which shows that the attentional set is a key factor in the selective attention of three-dimensional space. Therefore,we can inference that selective attention of three-dimensional space mainly occur in the top-dowm attentional control.ExperimentⅢ:With high perceptual load conditions and attentional set set condition,it does not appear the reacton time significantly longer than the two-dimensional space, which shows that the attentional set is a key factor in "deep blindness" phenomenon, and the allocation of attentional resources the depth maybe mainly exists in bottom-up control process.
