Inspiration Of Plato And The Impact Theory

It's well known that Plato's theory of inspiration has important influence on later generations.However,limited in the region of writing theory,scholar pay more attention to its non-rationality which beyond the scope of knowledge and skill.We should take a broad view of it,only should we put the theory of inspiration in the ontology context,(Plato's theory of idea),can we grasp its ture meaning.And we'll discover both the theory of idea and the theory of inspiration can reach an inner agreement on ideal.There are three chapters in this thesis.The first chapter talks about Plato's theory of idea.Firstly,we explain ontology briefly.Secondly,we explain Plato's theory of idea,one form of ontology.The second chapter analyss Plato's theory of inspiration in the context of ontology.This chapter includes following topics:The tracing back to the semantics meaning of "inspiration";The religion and mythlogy background of inspiration;The ancient Greek knwoledge of inspiration before Plato;The deeper reason that Plato hold the theory of inspiration;The poetry of inspiration play an important role to Plato's republic;Modern people'knowledge of inspiration.The third chapter demonstrates how Plato's theory of inspiration influence later generations.We select some typical characters and theories.It eludes Loginus,Plotinos,the theory of genius in modern times,European romanticism,Nietzche's tragedy aesthetics,Freud,Bergson,Croce,Sartre.
