Poetry This Music, Jun Ho Wing

On the basis of the division of the different styles of art songs on Chinese classical poetry, this paper profoundly illustrates how to better multi-dimension perform these charming and meaningful songs from the perspective of lyrics, melody, piano accompaniment, singing, and decor design. In addition, this paper proposes a research and discussion on the indispensible quality of the singer performing such kind of songs.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction of the research subject and significance of this study. The next part is the main body of this thesis, including three chapters. The primary chapter illustrates the connotation and denotation of the art songs on Chinese classical poetry. Different styles of these art songs on the basis of precious studies also discussed in the same chapter. When it comes to the second chapter, the core of the thesis is concerned. From the perspective of different components and recreation of singing, this part analyses how to better perform the classic poetry art songs of different techniques and styles. The last chapter discusses the indispensible quality and cultivation of the singer. The third part is the conclusion of the thesis. The writer ends the research from the perspective of the performer and expresses the aspiration of spreading the influence of the spirit connotation and aesthetic value of Chinese classical art all over the world through singing these valuable songs.
