As a writer and an artist known to the world,Feng Zikai specializes in literature and painting. The conscious communication and infiltration between his literature and painting is not only continuation and extension of the traditional notion of"poetry and painting are the same", but also the full understanding and awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of the separate art forms of literature and painting. Studies on the relationship between his literature and painting will help us to better grasp and appreciate the artistry and aesthetic style of Feng Zikai's literature and painting. To some extent, the integration of literary elements into his comic makes the comic unique, and the integration of painting elements into his literature makes his essay extremely influential.Chapter one investigates the relationship between literature and painting taking the Feng Zikai for instance. It discusses the connections between them from the observation way and the aesthetic attitude to the physical image of the writer and artist, and discusses their differences from the presentational media, awareness way, the nature of performance, range of materials, critical criteria and so on. In addition, it analyses the complementation between literature and painting taking Feng Zikai's essays and cartoon for an example.Chapter two discusses the impact of literature on Feng Zikai's cartoon. It concentrates on the characteristics of modern painting in Feng Zikai's cartoon and the relationship between"comic circles"and"literature circle"in his contemporary. On the basis of the above, it further analyses the present form of comics literary. First is the conscious pursuit of meaning, second is the borrowing of literary techniques and the third is the poetic aesthetic style.Chapter three discusses the impact of painting on the style his essay. The use of comic techniques in his writing mainly reflects in handling and grasping of the relationship of"Meaning"and"document","abstract"and"concrete".On the one hand, the use of painting techniques of"intended to document not"with the main form of stick figure method and blank makes Feng's essay present an aesthetic effect of simple brushstrokes and rich meaning; on the other hand, a vivid image but slightly exaggerated analogy and a focus description with local feature type make his essay taking on a concrete beauty of painting.
