Hao Ran is an important writer on Chinese Temporary Literature, and the continuing debate over his novels Sunny and Golden Road which are relating about agricultural cooperation is a significant phenomenon. Many scholars have the same artist positive comment to the Sunny, but they view Golden Road to the very"left-wing"and deny it politically without any text analysis. Therefore, the academic study on the latter one is inadequate and those views are not innovating. Obviously, the studies on these two different novels are developing unevenly. Because the scholars focus on the spiritual side of Golden Road other than its text, there are few all-sided writings on its artist analysis. So it is very urgent and necessary to discuss about this novel on the text and focus on its artistic quality. This paper is divided in three parts. The first part is a brief overview about the academic problems and raises the question. The second part is the main body of the paper consisting of three chapters, which is discussing about the transition and difference of these two novels in the theme,"epic"perusing and the author's experience. The first chapter of the second part is mainly studying the transition in theme, analyzing the reason of this transition, searching for the relationship between the change and the social ideological trend, the author's developing personal experience. The second chapter is elaborating on the author's choice to establish the"epic"style, discussing the artist reason, mental motivation and the artist technique, and mainly researching on the reason of Chinese classical novels'influence whose strategy and technique are also affected by Chinese"Shi Zhuan"tradition. The third chapter is discussing about the relationship between these two novels'spots and emotional inclination with Hao Ran's personal experience as well as the transition in these two novels. As the main body of this paper, these three chapters have relationships with each other and show the complexity and richness of this Agricultural Cooperation novel on the theme, artistic pursuit and personal experience.
