The market economy is the economic exchanges which is based on honesty. While, with the development of China's economy, lack of honesty has become a common phenomenon in economic life, that disrupts the market order seriously, and affects the healthy and orderly development of the market economy.This article is based on China's market economy at the present stage there is the phenomenon of lack of honesty, and has a comprehensive analysis of the meaning of honesty, the significance of honesty, and the lack of which, then deeply analyzes the reasons of the lack of honesty, in order to fully understand and grasp the relationship between market economy and honesty, and recommends the appropriate response to the construction of social credibility, finally provides a reference and guidance to the building of integrity in our country.The full text is divided into four sections. Starting from the connotation of honesty, there is a comprehensive analysis about the role of the honesty in China's market economy. Then, describes the lack of the faith in our current economic life, and analyzes the reasons for lack of honesty. Then there is the integrity of the absence for the current problems, to seek concrete solutions.The first chapter is "The concept of integrity and honesty", from a macro point of view shows the concept of the honesty and indicates the notion of honesty in China and the Western. Knowing the honesty in different cultures possess different characteristics is good to understand the relationship between the contemporary market economy and the honesty.The second chapter is "Honesty is the guarantee of market economy". It demonstrated the necessity of the ethical in a market economy and discusses the role of honesty in the market economy. Honesty as the traditional Chinese virtues, maintain the healthy development of the economy in the current socialist market economy. This chapter analyses the role of honesty in market economy from three aspects. The three aspects are as follows:firstly, honesty ensures the healthy operation of the market economy; secondly, honesty ensures the contract in the market economy; finally, honesty ensures the market economy running according to the law.The third chapter is "The honesty of the market economy and the reasons for lack of it". That explores the lack of honesty in economic activity through debt default,contract trap,financial fraud and fake products. Then analyses the background and reasons of lack of honesty from the social transformation caused the changes in ethical relationships,deficiencies in the property rights lead to a simple game,information asymmetry caused the adverse selection and moral hazard and imperfect legal system lead to dishonesty's benefits outweighed the cost.The last chapter is "Establish the honesty market economic system". Bases on the above analysis, according to the reasons for the lack of honesty in the market economy, proposes strategies, attempts to explore the system of two mechanisms, explore the honesty of the market economy mechanism which appropriate to the current social environment.
