| Cognitive style, is the personal preference and consistent manner in the information processing performance. Mainly refers to information that individuals tend to use external cues, or tend to use their own independent judgments as a standard or reference information stored in their own clues. And they prefer the overall strategy or policy strategy in the cognitive processing information. Field cognition mode is an important variance of individual difference. And it is one of important dimensions of personality structure too. According to information processing, it can be divided into two kinds. One is field-dependence and the other is field-independence.Field-dependence mainly refers to depending on the outside frames of reference or guiding by environments. Compare with it, people who are field-independence depend on the inside stored information. Mental rotation is a kind of processing which is similar to objective substance rotation and it is one important part of theory of mental image too. This study emphasizes that people who have their own some particular character personality character and cognitive process both has a affinity and the former produce influence on the latter.In this opinion, Making Cognitive mode, is the individual in the information processing performance out of personal preference and consistent manner. Mainly refers to information that individuals tend to use or reference to external cues, or tend to their own independent judgments as a standard or reference information stored in their own clues, manifested in the cognitive processing of the overall strategy and policy preferences.It is an important individual difference variable, its impact and performance in the cognitive process, is also reflected in the psychological characteristics of personality. In recent years, research has shown that cognitive mode is not only a dimension of personality structure, and more and more reflected in the individual's ability level, and the individual is closely related to a specific achievement. Research in the field of education, foreign experts in the field that almost all the cognitive processing tasks, the field independence of the strong usually in the space mission, reading, mathematics, and natural sciences field dependence than those who easier access to higher academic achievement.Found (Zhao Ni, Xu-Qun,2007), the presence of independent individuals in the letter and the two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphics in both mental rotation reaction time and accuracy in both the better. But on the other types of space processing and less on the ERP study, require further study. Also studies (O. Vitouch 1999; C. Lamm 2001,2003), found in spatial information processing such as high and low spatial ability between men and women are found to comply with the phenomenon of neural efficiency, further research (C. Lamm 2005) found that between high and low ability of this difference may come from the different strategies rather than ability. The results in terms of deepening the theory of neural efficiency is very important.However, current research on the characteristics of different abilities and different subjects why different strategies, tactics and ability have anything to do and what kind of ability and relations, and so are not very clear instructions. Exploring these issues is conducive to understanding the neural efficiency of this theory extended to deeper range; but also conducive to capacity for the relevant advice and training to provide evidence. For example, if the performance difference between those with different abilities have different strategies and options in the task of strategy for the differences, then this ability in training when the trainee is thought to focus on how to generate more strategies like comparison through practice that kind of strategy is more effective on; and training can give students a more-solving strategies and explain the effectiveness of the strategy. From a more general sense, but also for our understanding of smart differences provide a clue.Given previous research, this study combined FID which can reflect the ability level of individuals and the spaial ability and took the ERP technique to investigate visual spatial information processing on individual differences in brain mechanisms. Specifically, this study obtained the following conclusions:1. Field independent and field dependent individuals in the processing of spatial information also appears neural efficiency phenomenon, but the main reason causing this result is the different preferences in processing information; which make them find and select the different processing strategies, while the central executive capacity may also play a role.2. Field independence and field dependence were different in slow cotical potential when they process different visual spatial tasks, field independent individuals show negative wave only in part of the brain as the occipital area, parietal, frontal and temporal lobe brain regions and field dependent individuals show negative wave almost the scalp, and field dependent individuals in the middle zone showed higher activation than both of sides. |
