Female, as an important force for the developing harmonious society, today, they are playing a irreplaceable part in market economy. Contrarily, the female suffer the sexual discrimination in the labor market, the phenomenon is getting more and more common and worse. This is a serious violation of China's basic national policy of gender equality advocate. What makes the women suffer the sexual discrimination in the labor market? What public policies should the government make to advance the development of gender equality? Discussing and studying of these issues, in depth, have a big theory and practical significance.This article starts from the phenomena that female are despised on account of their sex, researched the causes and hazards of this phenomenon. After refining policies in many countries on the basis of gender equality and combining with the Chinese situation, we propose measures to solve the problem of gender discrimination in our country.Thesis main content following:1.Reviewing the theories and concepts of sex discrimination in employment, lead to the issue of female employment is difficult.2.Basing on Statistical Yearbook, the actual case and the relevant employment survey, come to the conclusion of women suffer from sex discrimination in employment are as follow:The difficult employment of general or well-educated women, and the occupational segregation of female gender.3. Study the reason of gender discrimination in our country. After sorting out the situation of female employment nowadays and comparing the employment opportunities of women in different industries, we get the reasons:the traditional concepts of gender; the oriented thinking of economic benefit is the first; rules and regulations are not developed; female's own physical limitations; discrimination in education of women led to the overall cultural level which is not high.4. Refining policies in many countries on the basis of gender equality and combining with the Chinese situation, we propose measures to solve the problem of gender discrimination in our country:speed up education reform, tilt of educational resources to women; develop the vocational education of women, improve professional skills; expand the space for female employment, encourage various forms of self-employment and women entrepreneurship; improve the legal system of equal employment, improve the contents of the legislation, increase penalties; construct the female reproductive security system.
