Cross-selling for financial services industry has been the main stream of the world. However, the financial system of Mainland China is still under the restriction of separated operation and supervision. As the member of WTO, Mainland China is under so much pressure of opening the financial markets and facing intensive competition from transnational financial groups. The way of adjusting the financial system to fit in the global markets, above all, to cope with the domestic competitive situation at the same time becomes the most important issue for Mainland China's authority.This dissertation is to focus on the structure of Financial Holding Company Law in Taiwan, China and discuss the law-making process of Financial Law and cross-selling system in Taiwan, China. Besides, both Mainland China and Taiwan, China are members of WTO and the influence of joining WTO will also be fully discussed.Furthermore, from the perspective of comparative law, a comparison of the financial law relating to cross-selling between Taiwan and Mainland China will be discussed in this dissertation.
