Misreading And Countermeasure Of Chinese Dreams In Some Peripheral Countries

The concept of the Chinese Dream was proposed for the first time by Chairman XI Jinping when he was visiting the exhibition of “Road of Renaissance”on November 29, 2012. As a full official voice, the Chinese Dream sparked heated discussion both at home and aboard immediately after it was proposed. The complete and positive interpretations, which were also active as well as comprehensive, have been given by all walks domestically. However, in current international situations, the surrounding countries, who are in best need of comprehending the Chinese Dream, have come with diversified comments. Some expressed their positive expectation while some others who failed to understand the policy correctly, distorted the external policy of China accordingly. The latter has become a highlight of problem and the trend will damage the international image of China if it goes without control, resulting the passive status in diplomatic affairs and hindrance of peace development in China. This paper combines the Chinese Dream and peripheral problems, which are the two major hot spots, focuses on the neighboring countries distorted interpretation of the Chinese Dream, and combs the logic about how these misinterpretation comes into being. The neighboring countries misinterpretation of the Chinese Dream mainly include: “historical dream of revenge”, “dream of economic expansion”, “dream of territorial expansion”, “military expansion dream” and “dream of dominating Asia”. Through in-depth analysis we found the reasons of misinterpretation are the conflicts of benefits, historical questions and the strategic adjustment of American. China should adjust diplomatic strategy, implement the policy of“friendship, honesty,tolerance, benefit” concerning surrounding countries, constitute the common destiny structure, advance The Belt and Road Initiatives,and build the Babgladesh-India-Myanmar-economic corridor,constitute economic ties of mutual benefit. Continue to promote a new type of China-America relations, open up new diplomatic roads for giant countries; strengthen international dissemination capacity and convey the Chinese dream accurately. Only after the layout of relation between China and surrounding countries, China and giant countries be constructed and the surrounding countries reap the benefits from the swift economic development of China can we strive good peripheral environment for our national economic and social development. In that case, the Chinese dream will be more widely recognized and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will be realized at an early age.
