When the relation between Kuomintang and Communist Party broke down in 1927, the ideal to liberate workers and peasants through national revolution came into nothing. The Communist Party of China must master revolutionary hegemony independently and re-examine China’s national conditions and interpret revolution nature to create revolutionary power. Therefore various classes and people’s groups in China were clear about their roles in this revolution. During national revolution, the revolutionary discourse system established by the Communist Party of China failed to surpass the Three People’s Principles of Sun Yat-Sen, with no reflection of thematic “proletarian revolution” and “national liberation”. Since 1927, the Communist Party of China referred to Russian revolutionary theories on the one hand to enrich the discourse system, on the other hand, Chinese revolutionaries were troubled with imperfect application of Russian discourse to China’s national conditions. Under the circumstance that revolutionary theories didn’t apply to practices, there were a lot of problems occurring when the Communist Party of China was building Soviet revolutionary regime and Chinese revolutionaries were forced to have long march after anti-suppress war failed with revolutionary power suffering heavy losses. While, Communists reflected the results of Russian revolutionary discourse profoundly after the bitter lesson and gave birth to the New Democratic Revolutionary Theory to form a set of discourse system applicable to China’s national conditions at last. Before the explosion of anti-Japanese war, they combined class revolutions and patriotic struggles to gather revolutionary powers. This paper attempts to restore the development and change process of communist revolutionary discourse in agrarian revolutionary war. There are four parts in this paper: the first party is the general background for building of revolutionary discourse, mainly to explain political and theory-building troubles for the Communist Party of China after the failure of great revolution as well as the external influence from Soviet Russian and the Communist International and the internal influence for China’s social development and change in 1920 s and 1930s; the second part is about the main contents of revolutionary discourse system, including the state form to establish, the means to win revolution, class powers to revolutionize and others, as well as changes in revolutionary discourse before and after Zunyi Meeting; the third part explores features appearing in building of revolutionary discourse; the fourth part summarizes lessons accumulated by the Communist Party of China in creating and perfecting revolutionary discourse during this period, mainly the Communist Party of China interpreting and mastering of China’s national conditions as well as the process of successfully transforming Russian discourse into that with Chinese characteristics.
