The main arguments set forth in the first part of this thesis are: (1) a savings contract refers to a contract whereby the depositor transfers his ownership of savings deposit to the savings bank; (2) a savings contract, though closely related to a civil contract, has its own characteristics, so it belongs to the category of contracts for financial merchandise exchange. In the second part the author sums up and analyses different circumstances to expound the qualities of a savings contract as a real and causal Contract. The third and fourth parts focus the discussion on the rights of the depositor and the duties of the savings bank for reasons that a savings contract is a unilateral contract and that the interests of the depositor are needed to be given full protection. In the last part the validity of a savings contract is discussed from three aspects: (1) proper parties; (2) true expression of will; (3) no violation of compulsory provisions of laws and no damage to the public interests.
