As for the trade liberalization ,The developed countries have always been sparing no efforts to promote it and the developing countries aren't enthusiastic about it .But since the second half of 1980s, the developing countries especially the countries in East Asia and Latin America have gradually moved on the track of the trade liberalization .They go so far that they even push the tide of trade liberalization. What is the essence of it? What are it's backgrounds and causes ? How many ways are there to the trade liberalization ? How many models are there to it ? What are the differences between the models that are adopted by these countries ? How about the results of these models? These are the questions that will be answered in the thesis . The thesis studies the trade liberalization in East Asia and Latin America since the second half of 1980s. As for the arrangement of contents, the thesis takes efforts to integrate theory with practice and countermeasures . The first and second parts analyze the trade liberalization in theory .The third , fourth and fifth parts carry out investigation about the trade liberalization in East Asia and Latin America . The sixth part discusses China's trade liberalization. Thus the thesis tries it best to make it into an integration which is a combination of theories and practices, unification of logic and history and matches of problems countermeasures. In China , there are few studies about the trade liberalization of developing countries and most of them emphasize the phenomena description and policy interpretation while they don't carry out profound theoretical analysis. The thesis defines the nature of the trade liberalization and carries out quantitative analysis about it .A function and a series of indexes are set up and the relationship between indexes and trade liberalization are analyzed. The thesis discusses the trade liberalization more deeply in theory. It thinks from the point of government the essence of trade liberalization in East Asia and Latin America since the second half of 1980s is that these countries have carried out a new trade strategy——trade liberalization trade strategy .This strategy is parallel to the traditional "import substitution trade strategy" and "export orientation trade strategy". In order to illustrates the meaning and the features of "trade liberalization strategy", the thesis takes a different perspective to classify the trade strategy that the developing countries may adopt .The thesis classifies it into government-controlled trade strategy ,government-interfered trade strategy and trade liberalization trade strategy . Furthermore , the thesis classifies government-interfered trade strategy into "import substitution trade strategy" and "export orientation strategy" and classifies "trade liberalization trade strategy" into "the primary stage" , " the mature stage "and "the zero tariff stage". At the same time , the thesis compares with all kinds of trade strategies and the stages of different trade strategies from the angles of one countries' attitudes to trade ,the domestic markets' open extent towards abroad and the trade system and trade policies adopted by its governments etc. Then , combining with the practices of East Asia and Latin America, the thesis certifies one of the thesis's main point of views that the essence of trade liberalization in East Asia and Latin America since the second half of 1980s is that these countries have carried out a new trade strategy——trade liberalization trade strategy. The thesis inspects the developing countries' trade liberalization from different perspectives. It studies the backgrounds ,the causes, ways ,patterns and effects of the trade liberalization in East Asia and Latin America respectively .In particularly , the thesis advances its own opinions on the models of developing countries' trade liberalization—— it thinks that based on the causes and characteristics of trade liberalization , there exists two different models which are "int...
