In traditional house-distribution system, the citizens in our country can not selected the houses on their own minds, because houses in cities were distributed uniformly by government. As a result, theorists have no data from practice to support their theories about housing-consumption behavior, therefore, little research about this subject was made until now. However, due to the reform of the house-distribution system, citizens now can make house deals as their pleased. It makes the research about the house-purchase behavior feasible and essential. The whole article is consisted of four sections. Section I is to give out the concept and characters; Section II is the model of the house-purchase behavior. Both the impacting factors from outside and inside and strategy of buying house build up the entire model. The factors from outside are something concerned with social culture, social economy and industry environment, such as demand and supply of houses. The inside factors are something about psychology in the process of house- purchase, including motives, personalities, attitudes and studies of consumers for purchasing houses. The house-purchase strategy means not only the exact action of purchasing, also includes aware of need, information collection, case decision and, the last point, evaluation about house-purchase actions; Section III mainly deal with the data, which indicate the characters and differences of the three ways of purchasing houses: a house-purchase by mortgage, a bullet house-purchase and second-hand house-purchase.
