The Economic Transformation Of China's Expanding Employment Path Selection

The employment is one of the most important and urgentproblems for China to be confronted with nowadays. There are largeamounts of total and structural unemployment, Which are decided byChinese historical conditions and social backgrounds. In order to enlargeemployment, we must take advantage of market mechanism to adjusteconomic structure and to accelerate economic growth. At the same time,the government must continue to deepen the reform, perfect the market.system, especially the labor market system as well as to develop themechanism of resources of labor power to improve quality of laborers.There' re four parts included in this paper. First of all, We discuss thetheory of employment in modern west in brief.Secondly, the employmentsituation, the problems and the reasons nowadays in China are analyzed.Thirdly, the ways how to expand employment. The last part is to explaintwo problems during the period that we enlarge the employment we mustpay attention to.In a word, the problem of employment is a systematical project. It isnot only a macroeconomic but also a microeconormic problem. At the sametime, it is a total and structural, short -- run and long -- run problem. Duringthe process, the grovernment's leading and adjustment, the enterprises'investment as well as improving quality of laborers are needed.
