High-tech Enterprise Value Assessment Study

With the coming of knowledge economy era and emerging of a large number of high-technological companies, how to value the high-technological companies becomes a new question for discussion in the field of appraisal. This paper studied the meanings of high technology, the characteristics of high-technological companies, pointed out the difference between the high-technological companies and the ordinary companies. The paper surveyed existing concept of the value of companies again, then redefined it, moreover, put forward the concept of hightechnological companies. It analyzed how the value of high-technological companies come from, discussed the approach and the factors of them. Based on the introduction and criticism of the traditional valuation approaches, the paper presented suggestions of how to set up our country抯 system of approaches and how to choose approaches to valuate high-technological companies on different phases.
