Research On China's Labor Force Participation Rate

Labor and laborer are behavior and actor that support and drive every society forward. With the overplus of labor supply market and insufficiency of demand, employment has been becoming focus of attention. Many learners have studied the labor market from the angle of demands, and have tabled many constructive proposals. However this paper is from the angle of labor supply to describe and evaluate status of labor participated in China.Labor participation rate is one of the most important index that reflect status of people participate laboring in one society. The same principle does labor-participated rate of a community. Analyzing the difference between communities, we can discuss the reasons and factors. At the same time, contrasting these data lengthwise and breadthwise, we can open out some rules and trend. With these knowledge, the author begin some discusses about correlative questions. Labor supply is a economic phenomenon. Supply is for giving production factors, for gaining incomes and for develop labors themselves. So, the following is to evaluate the supply from these three aspects.This paper is based on census data. It analyze labor market in China beginning with labor participation rate. It is composed of five parts. The first part, the author introduces background, correlative theory and basic knowledge. The second part is description of labor participation rate character in 1982,1990, 1995 and 2000, including character of different communities. This part supplies basic data for whole-length positive analysis. The sequent part goes farther on the last part, probing into some questions and providing the solutions. In the fourth part, the author concludes some factors that influence the labor participation rate level. However, how to evaluate the benefit of labor supplying? The last part will settle this question. Concretely, evaluating from three aspects, i. e. gross domestic product, consumption and accumulation, development of labor. As important reflection to labor supplying quality, the fabric of labor' s employment is discussed finally.
