The article puts forward that payment in advance,guaranty style and liability form are three kinds of nature of deposit,and the deposit stated in the People's Republic of China's laws is the deposit of breach of contract,meanwhile parties can set the other kinds of deposit according to the principle of meaning autonomy. The article probes into some questions about effectiveness of deposit contract,concludes the punishment terms of deposit,analyses the situations of applying deposit and the other liability forms simultaneously.
