Study Of The Development Of Small And Medium-sized Financial Institutions And Risk Disposal System

Our Reform and Opening Policy has produced promising results. With the deepening in marketability of economical operation and the diversification of economic subject, the medium and small financial institutions play an important role in our financial institution system. But the current situation of the medium and small financial institutions can't let us feel optimistic. Especially after entering the WTO, they will face heated competition both from state-owned banks and from foreign-capital banks. As challenge always coexists with opportunity, the medium and small financial institutions should catch the opportunity, find out some promoting tactics for their development. But financial risks always exist during the development of our financial institutions, so it's very necessary to establish a risk handling system.Based on the practical development of medium and small financial institutions in our country, and thorough reference the promoting experiences of some fellow institutions aboard, this thesis studied systematically and profoundly the promoting tactics and the risk handling in our medium and small financial institutions. The thesis is divided into four major parts. Firstly, it covers the fundamental concepts and theories of the medium and small financial institutions. Then it analyses the present situation of these financial institutions, both domestic and aboard. Later it proposed some promoting tactics for the development of these financial institutions. Finally, in order to deal with the financial risks exist in the development of the medium and small financial institutions, this thesis suggests to set up a risk handling system and give some constructive advices.
