As a new-coming alliance in the modern enterprises management, logistics outsourcing alliance fully represents the strategic guideline on enterprise's core competency. In the west, there have been many researches on the alliance relationship coming from logistics outsourcing, both on theory and on practice. In China, however, as the logistics outsourcing market is still on the initial stage and Chinese market has its own particular environment, Chinese enterprises, which consider establishing logistics alliance, should think over the particular issues in Chinese market.This thesis starts with the driving force on logistics outsourcing alliance. Firstly, it analyses current status of Chinese logistics outsourcing alliance and three obstacles preventing the development of the alliance. And in order to make logistics alliance success in Chinese market, we should firstly study the alliance from the point of microeconomics.From the theory, alliance is an effective business model, but realities often tell us that logistics outsourcing alliance is not all-powerful. This thesis proposes 7 essential elements, which are important for the success of logistics outsourcing alliance.Besides, in order to successfully establish the alliance of logistics outsourcing and make such relationship remain stable, two sides should take appropriate actions in the logistics outsourcing. In the previous articles, documents and investigations, there are few detailed contents about what to and how to do to make logistics alliance success. This thesis just throws focus on the detailed actions that the two enterprises should take in the alliance relationship to make win-win.As for the enterprise that needs logistics services, in order tosuccessfully outsource the logistics business, 4 steps should be followed suggested in this thesis, including internal decision analysis, selecting the TPL suppliers, signing logistics outsourcing contract, and finally, carrying out the contract and improving the management.Considering Chinese logistics market is immature, TPL firms should make efforts on 4 aspects to make success, that is, winning the credit of customers, self-development, making alliance with other professional logistics firms and establishing high-efficient logistics information transaction system.To amply supporting the above contents, chapter 5 discusses the logistics outsourcing alliance example-Whirlpool (Shanghai) Home Appliance Co., Ltd. This example can be used for the logistics alliance operation for other enterprises for reference which want to outsource logistics business to the 3rd party.
