Finance is the core of modern economy and insurance is an important part. It is very important for insurance to guarantee economy, stable society and promote the process of reform. At present, actuarial strength is poor in civil life insurance company and there is still a long way to go in order to catch up with the developed countries. There are many problems to solve in the research and application of life insurance. This thesis studies the pricing of life insurance products in our country from actuarial angle, the research about with is still rather few in our country.The whole thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter one: pointing out the deficiency in actuarial research and practice after recall the history and development of life insurance and its actuarial research. Chapter two is mainly concerned with the actuarial model of net premium. First, it demonstrates the traditional method of calculating net premium, then, after pointing out the deficiency of this model, it makes improvement in which interest rates are variable. The improvement contains three kinds of different circumstances. After that, it makes calculation using the new model of variable interest rates, and compares the result with that of calculation using the old model of constant interest rates. Finally, problems about mortality are discussed, especially that existing in the using of mortality table in our country. Chapter three concentrates on the methods of calculating gross premium, after pointing out the deficiency of traditional model, it makes improvement in which additional premium is more reasonable.
