Singapore's Industrial Structure Adjustment Of Study (1959-1996)

The present dissertation mainly analyses the reasons, the courses and the result of industrial structure regulation in Singapore, points out what we should pay attention to during the industrial structure regulation in the western exploitation in China combining with the experiences of Singapore.Before autonomy, the economy structure in Singapore was single and malformation transit trade, the economy in Singapore fell behind many countries in a long period because of its malstructure industry. After its autonomy, Singapore decided to found export-oriented economy according to its situation and other countries' experiences and began to regulate its industrial structure. After the development of substitution for import, Singapore caught the chance to develop export industry in time, and improved the structure through twice industrial revolution. Singapore met many difficulties and even failure during the course of regulation, but as it could catch the chance and sim up the experiences and lessons in time. It succeeded at last, developed the economy and the whole society , Singapore created a miracle.The situation in China is different from Singapore, but China can also learn much from Singapore, for example: Regulating the industrial policy according to the economy situation both inside and outside the country, dealing with the relations among basis industry, mainstay industry, strategy industry and bottleneck industry, laying stress on personal training and improving the structure, continually opening outside and importing foreign investment.The structure of the dissertation:Part one:Analysing the reasons of industrial structure regulation, the industrial strategy and policy in Singapore. Showing the course of the regulation and getting a perceptual knowledge to Singapore's industrial structure regulation.Part Two :Using some research meanings to analyse Singapore's industrial structure regulation from four main aspects, studying the law of the industrial structure regulation and its development.Part Three: Analysing the trend and challenge of Singapore's industrial regulation in the 21th century, showing a rational knowledge to the structure regulation base on the above mentioned.Part Four: Summary ing the experience of Singapore's industrial structure regulation and pointing out the inspiration that can be used by China.
