Pursuit of equity is not only the general pursuit of human nature, but also the value objective which is consistent with the nature of socialism. Since China is still in the primary phase of socialism and confronted with the most urgent task-using market economy to enhance productivity, social development has quite many problems in the aspects of equity system and its effect.If the problems existing in the real life, such as the inequity of distribution, regional disparity, corruption of authority, inequity of education, cannot be solved properly, it will restrict the deepening development of reform and make the mass lose confidence in reform, even have inimical emotions. We should not regard it as unimportant.Therefore, starting with the discussion of "equity and social development", and through the investigation and study of the interaction between them, this essay has concluded the following rules: the actions of the subject's pursuing equity promote the course of social development, meantime they provide the external possibility of the full realization of equity; the subject's recognition and evaluation of equity come from personal subjective feelings, but it also should conform to the external material conditions and historical rules.
