On The Issue Of Competition Law In The Insurance Industry

Both competition and monopoly are symbiotic. In different periods, there are different competition policies. The development of insurance in China has experienced a short and swift process. At the beginning step, the CCIC was the sole insurance firm in China. It comes into being a multifold phase now and enters into a high-speed developing time. Based on the competition theory of micro-economy, this dissertation retrospects the history of insurance in China and analyzes the main points of present competition restriction. Combined with the trend of the development of worldwide insurance, it confirms that the competition in insurance is reasonable, and the future mode of insurance is free competition with some limitation. The dissertation also brings forward the relevant legal measures.
