Study Of The Core Of Our Investment Banking Capabilities

The financial market of China will become more open after China's entering the WTO. To most of the local investment banks, it not only means opportunities, but also challenges. Local investment banks have to improve their competitive ability in a limited period. The author expatiates on the theory of core competence based on knowledge, and sets forth a model in order to identify core competence of an investment bank quantitatively. More over, the author sets forth to establish an investment bank as a learning organization to promote incubation and development of core competence. After making comparative analysis on core competence between local investment banks and foreign investment banks, the author expatiates on the local investment banks' operation competence and the risk management competence, which are all key factors related to the persistent management of investment banks when the financial market is perfectly opened.
