Tianjin Binhai New Area Of ​​sustainable Land Use Evaluation And Region Development

Sustainable development has been the basic strategy of all the countries in the world. To implement local sustainable development, sustainable use of natural resources especially the sustainable land use is the geographic foundation. Scholars at home and abroad have done many researches on the connotation, the indicators system and the assessment methods of sustainable land use.Tianjin Binhai New Area (TBNA) is a new economic zone in the seaside of Tianjijn. Developing TBNA is a great strategic decision of local macroeconomic development distribution. TBNA is consisting of five sub-areas. Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) and Tianjin Port Free Trade zone are core areas of TBNA with significant contributions in attracting foreign investment and promoting international trade. TBNA has grown up to be a "Head of Dragon" of local economy in Tianjin with massive state and foreign investment through about ten years development. So, its sustainable land use is a primary factor of sustainable development of Tianjin. Tianjin new coastal area locates on the estuarial area and seashore where ecological environment is vulnerable. It is a very difficult task to implement the sustainable land use here. To assess the level of the sustainable land use in TBNA is necessary.The thesis focus on three parts:Firstly, the author makes an overview on the researches about the sustainable use of land at home and abroad.Secondly, the current situation and characters of land use in TBNA are analyzed. Since land use system includes of natural, economic and social factors, system theory is applied in this study. And an indicator system including indicators about resources and environment, economy and society is established. The assessment methods adopted in the study are AHP and fuzzy mathematics. According to the methods, the conclusion of the level of the sustainable land use in TBNA is gotten.Last, on the basis of the analysis of the sustainable use of land in TBNA andthe results of the assessment, some practical policies for implement sustainable land use in the area are put forward.
