As a special form of the general tortuous acts, joint act of tort has its unique "common nature ". The "common nature "of the act is the emphasis and difficulty in the discussion of joint act of tort in jurisprudence and in practice. This paper introduces the history and the legislative present situation of the joint act of tort in various countries and studies the criterion of liability of joint act of tort. In the third part of the paper, the author concretely analyzes the important conditions constituting the contributory infringement liability. In the author's opinion, the contributory infringement liability is constituted by four important conditions: joint act of tort, fault, facts of damages and causality. Simultaneously this paper places emphasis on studying the joint dangerous act, no-will-contact joint tort and aiding and abetting act. In the respect of legal liability the joint tort reasons should bear the joint liability and different principles to deal with the tortuous act should be confirmed according different types of joint act of tort.
