Owing to the unequivelent economic strength of the two parties to an international consumer contract, the consumer protection policy has guided many countries' legislation on their international private law. According to practical examples of several countries and international conventions, the consumer protection policy has been implemented in the regulation on jurisdiction and choice of law of international consumer contracts, which indicates the speciality and tendency of legislation on international consumer contract. E-commerce matters have been newly regulated by many countries, and the regulation on international electronic consumer contracts holds the policy of consumer protection as well. And the study above provides reference to Chinese legislation. |
