In 2002 ,China had became the second petroleum consumption country after America in the world and the first petroleum consume country in Asia. With the demand of oil and gas's fast increasing, the need of geophysical goes up quickly,the developing environment of geophysical industry has been prodigiously changed. The geophysical industry has become the assistance of petroleum industry after the reform from 1999 to 2000. In planned economy, items had gotten mainly on administrative decree. Today ,this situation is different .You can get oil exploring items through open tender that is the most important method. To all enterprises of oil exploration, original management thought of waiting, and the enterprises' developing strategy that had been made in planned economy was not fit for the enterprise expansion. Especially in 2001 , after China entered into WTO, facing the opportunity of entering world market and the competition of petroleum magnate, including geophysical magnate, intervening, the existing arrangement of oil and gas industry will be disturbed, and competing environment must be greatly changed. But the enterprises' developing strategy that had been made in many years ago and has been used by many Chinese geophysical enterprises today does not suit nowadays' situation. So it is inevitable to modify old and to change new enterprises' developing strategy.In this thesis, the author chooses the Geophysical Company SGC as the analyzing example, and adopt demonstrating research method,make the fact and date as the base, using SWOT matrix as tools, and according to the company develop aim, making the enterprises' developing strategy and enforcement measure in new situation for Sichuan Geophysical Company (SGC). In this thesis, according to the concept and the proceeding of strategicmanagement strictly, the strategy of SGC is established. First step is investigating internal condition and external circumstances of SGC. Second step is comprehensive analysis, then drawing up the strategy of SGC. The last one is the key points of the strategy enforcement.Accordingly, the thesis is organized into four chapters. Main content of each chapter is as follows:In Chapter One, the author introduces the definition of geophysical industry, the basic circumstance, the problems of current strategy, the position in petroleum industrial chain, and the sense of making the strategy of SGC, etc. In Chapter Two, the author investigates the SGC external circumstances. The main analysis is general aout circumstance, industry circumstance, and management circumstance.In Chapter Three, the author investigates the SGC internal circumstances. The main analysis is of SGC's current superiority, namely, resource and capacity, inferiority of SGC, finance and organization structure.In Chapter Four, the author analyses the result that investigated in Chapter Two and Chapter Three, and integrating the company aim, adopting the method of SWOT matrix, then establishing the general strategy , the competition strategy, and the function strategy. In Chapter Five, the author analyses the key point of the strategy enforcement. In order to insure the success of SGC strategy, the author gives four aspect advises .The main suggestion is make clear company management structure, establishing effective encouraging-binding mechanism, core competitive capacity, structure the globe strategy. In the thesis, the author sets down the workable strategy and the key points of enforcement for SGC in new market environment. And then the author provides the useful attempt and researching frame for large or medium-sized state enterprise like China petroleum companies, especiallylike geophysical companies, about how to establish the location and work out the adapt strategy in the new circumstances.
