Knowledge management has been recognized as one of the most important part to keep organizational competitiveness in the information society. However, as shown in survey, knowledge sharing is an important but difficult activity in knowledge management practice. Among the many and varied reason, it is generally believed that the knowledge worker would not like to share his important information or knowledge resource. Consequently, the factors, which influencing on the knowledge sharing, must be understood before the measure is taken to improve individual's knowledge sharing behavior. Only by this way, the knowledge sharing mechanism can run well.The thesis starts with the social angle. Firstly, on the basis of theory of Planned Behavior, a deep analysis of influential factors on knowledge sharing is made from three aspects combined with social exchange theory and other related theory. The three aspects includes knowledge sharing behavior self, its subject and the environment system. At the same time, hypothesis for this research is put forward after further consideration of the relationships among these factors.With above analysis, a demonstration has been made in order to find out the main effecting-factors. The results of the research are shown as follows: (1) Among the effecting-factors of knowledge sharing, extrinsic reward is an inducement factor. (2) Intrinsic reward and altruism will make individuals share knowledge in high frequency. (3)Goal commitment, team efficacy, empowering leadership and the perception of trust culture emerged as antecedents of knowledge sharing. Similarly, the results highlight that the factors is not independent on each other.Finally, based on above conclusion, the method to improve knowledge sharing behavior is proposed.
