| In regard to Islam, the relation of religion and politics is always an important topic within scholarship research. In Turkey, a nation that promoted secularism most thoroughly and had traditional Islamic culture, the development and change of the relation between the politics and religion has its own fresh and clear characteristics. Particularly since the end of 60' s of 20 centuries, accompanied with the religious renew wave tide in the Islamic world, the influence of Islam on Turkey' s social and political life is strengthened, a series of Islamic parties appeared and participated in politics positively, this has been a unique social and political phenomenon in Turkey who regards secularism as the basic national policy. And this phenomenon has caused the concern of all the nations of the world. Therefore, this text intends to inquiry into the development the change of Islam and Turkey party politics and their interaction relates from the history and actuality levels, at the same time, gives some considerations to their current situation and future trend.The first part: Turkey s Islamic tradition and its transformation.This text will analysis these problems: the deep accumulation of Islamic tradition in the reign of Ottoman Empire; the impact of Kemal' s secular reform on Islam; the gradually post -war Islamic tradition revival under the framework of secularization.The second part: Islam and party politics in modem Turkey s history.This text will divide three stages to proceed with the research to this problem: (1) the mono - party autocracy and Islam at the beginning of the foundation of Turkey.
