The capability of managing knowledge teams effectively has become a kind of core competence of enterprises. There are many research results about the knowledge teams, but few of them related to performance appraisal because of the knowledge teams' characteristics. This thesis tries to draw some valuable conclusions in this field. In the first part, the thesis proposes a definition of knowledge teams' performance based on their characteristics. In the second part, the thesis does the further research from the points of view of some economic and managerial theories. In the third part, the thesis tells us the shortcomings of the current knowledge teams' performance appraisal system. Based on the discussion of the former parts, the thesis proposes the performance appraisal system adapted to the knowledge teams' and analyzes its effective operation in the organization. Finally, a case is analyzed to show how to operate the knowledge teams' performance appraisal.
