Research Models And Strategies Of The Renminbi Capital Account Opening

The realization of convertibility of RMB is the final goal of the reform of foreign exchange system. In 1996, China accepted the Clause Eight of IMF as its obligation, and realized the convertibility of Current Account of RMB. So how to realize the convertibility of Capital Account of RMB will be our country' s main task of the reform of the foreign exchange system in the future.According to the practice of Capital Account in other nations, the opening of Capital Account should be the appropriately arranged. Otherwise, it may cause the failure of the opening. This dissertation studies how to balance the relationship between the openings of Capital Account and other reform plans of our country, and analyses the opening order of each project by studying the relevant theories of the opening of the Capital Account and drawing lessons from opening practice of other nations. The dissertation proposes the tactics adaptable of realizing the opening of Capital Account smoothly, and gives the advices for how to control the flow of capital during the opening of Capital Account of our country.
