Exploration Of Enterprise Reverse Logistics Operations

Since1990s, western developed countries have begun with researches on reverse logistics, and come up with some instructive theories. However, the term "reverse logistics" is not well-known now in China. Especially, the companies haven't discover the last mouth of "the third profit spring". The objective of this thesis is to review the theory in existence, summarize the rule of the reverse logistics operation in business combined with the excellent cases.On the base of previous articles and documents about reverse logistics, the thesis firstly introduces the concept and the kinds of reverse logistics. Then, the characteristics of reverse logistics are revealed when comparing reverse logistics with forward logistics and green logistics. After that, the method of environmental reporting is illustrated.Given the range of reverse logistics commercial operation, the thesis throws focus on three issues.In first, a case of medical waste disposition is studied in a domestic medical center. The thesis analyses its operation and management, and then concludes framework and key aspects in general running.In the second part, we will discuss out-sourcing of the reverse logistics. From the point of demand, the thesis gives the issues which need consideration. On the side of supply, a model for reverse logistics entry by third-party providers is developed.Finally, the thesis shows the status how reverse logistics industry develops in China, and gives some pieces of constructive advice.As to reverse logistics, there is no much theoretical and systematic research in China. So this thesis is hoped to be useful to the practical operation and management for Chinese enterprises.
