Jiangsu Province Tourism Spatial Structure And Regional Tourism Development

Spatial structure refers to the degree and the conformation of spatial conglomeration which comes into being with the spatial interrelation of social economic objects. The research of spatial structure is not only the main matter of regional science, but also one of the important problems of tourist science. To fully utilize the ample tourist resources in Jiangsu province, achieve the regional cooperation, and promote the sustainable development of tourist economy, this paper constructs the tourist spatial structure in Jiangsu province, emphatically expatiating on four aspects as follows:1. As viewing from the basic characters and the spatial distributing of tourist resources in Jiangsu Province, the status quo and problems of tourism, the state of economy development, the structure of traffic and city systems, etc. this paper analyses the background, with which we construct the tourist spatial structure in Jiangsu Province.2.Considering the Scientific Development Concept and taking the development status quo of economy and tourism in Jiangsu Province into comprehensive account, this paper construct the "I"shape spatial structure. And it brings forward the stratagem of further promoting the Yangtse Riverside Tourist Belt, attaching importance to develop the "Xu-Lian?' Tourist Belt and accelerating the development of the tourist belts of Huaihe River drainage area and the seaboard.3. Taking the general view of relative status in the background of national tourism and the development trend of tourist cities in Jiangsu province, this paper compartmentalize its 13 cities into 4 main levels. And it puts forward the strategy of "taking the cities as nodes, exploiting the resources by level". Taking Nanjing, Yangzhou, Xuzhou and Taizhou as cases, it expatiates on the measures of the development of the Tourist Node Cities.4.The construction of tourist spatial structure is the base of regional cooperation. This paper makes a further summarization of the meaning and the main contents of regional tourism cooperation, as well as the strategy and measures of it. Furthermore,taking Yangtse Delta as case, this paper analyses the advantages, the strategic orientation and the cooperation measures of its tourism development.
