It is well known that agriculture is highly susceptible industry in any country. Because of its significance and weakness, protection towards agriculture must come into beingat the specified stage of economic growth. Since 1978,China's agriculture has achieved great success and attracted worldwide attention. However, with the acceleration of market-oriented economy and internationalization, there are several difficulties in our agriculture : Firstly, the fragility of its foundation; Secondly, the lowness of its productivity; Thirdly, the slowness of farmers' income increase; Finally, the shortage of its' competitive advantage.After entry into WTO, our agriculture will have opportunities as well as confront challenges.
