Chinese Farmers Economic Performance

This thesis first is in favor of peasants as the market main body with the positive analysis of the formation , function and feature of the present rural management structure . And then it establishes a set of efficient analytical system by means of neo-classical economic performance analysis and the Chinese countryside, and make a deep overall analysis of the peasants in terms of production performance and distribution performance. Finally we got the conclusion that the total economic performance of the countryside is low (high performance in distribution and low performance in production). This low performance is reflected in the contradiction between the peasants' small-scale production and the large market, the large-scale production and the scale economies under the market economy. The economy makes the peasants as the market main body in a state of "Exceedingly not economical condition of scale" and "the limitation of agricultural production performance" . In Coase,R. sthe system in the present economy operation is the root to determine the economy operation and economy performance. The analysis of the present rural economic system tells us that the scattered family-based production makes the agricultural distribution performance high. And the real root to make peasants' Diseconomy of scale and performance low is the Transposition and Vacancy in the rural collective economy . In order to solve this problem and increase the total rural economy performance , an innovation must be made in the present agricultural economic structural in terms of reforming the agricultural structure , building a new dual operation system , accelerating the urbanization and the tax profit reform .
