China's Railways, Waterways, Road Transport Industry And The Development Of Logistics Research

As an advanced style of organization and technique, logistics has been highlighted in the development of global economy. Transportation is an essential part of logistics and the concept of logistics is the extension of it. Facing the increasing customer demands and intensifying market competition, traditional transport industries should take the important opportunity of developing modern logistics services. Presently, domestic railway, waterway and highway transport industries are seeking their own ways to develop logistics.This thesis is supposed to deal with this issue. Chapter one is a summarized introduction of transportation and logistics. It also analyzes the development situation of logistics in transportation industries both inside and outside, as well as the driving forces and obstacles in china. A modified model of logistics service market is presented in chapter two and is used to analyze the supply and demand situations of logistics market in domestic railway, waterway and highway transportation industries.
