Domestic (west) Outside The Road Transport Service System Is A Comparative Study

Although there isn't a clear definition for the Highway Transport Service System, there exist two explanations in the broad sense and narrow sense. Narrowly speaking, HTSS refers to the auxiliary service in highway transport, including loading and discharging of the goods, agent of both passengers and goods, coordinated transport, keeping goods in storehouse, rent of vehicles, training of skilled personnel and other services. But that isn't a strict definition. Broadly speaking, HTSS refers to an independent department in the industrial chain and plays important role in the national economy.Based on the explanation of the HTSS in the broad sense, and further study of its meaning, form and content, this paper points out that HTSS covers four areas including basic equipment, transport vehicles, transport administration and information system. According to the present highway transport situation in western areas and the analysis of its existing problems, and with reference to the advanced experience in eastern areas and abroad, through comparative analysis, the writer puts forward solutions to developing highway transport service system in western China.
