Performance And Genetic Analysis Of The Differences In Chinese And Western Modern Military Revolution

Revolution in Military Affairs(RMA) is the ultimate change with weapon, army structure, method of battle and military theory caused by qualitative change of military technology. Classified with weapons and weapons delivery systems,the RMA in the history has experienced five moments:cold arms,firearms,mechanical arms,nuclear weapon and information weapons.The great divergence in RMA between China and West countries in modern history are: the former's course changed from keeping ahead to behind,the latter is from behind to ahead;in inter-influence, the former spreaded technology to former at first,but later the latter forced the former to accept their RMA; the former' s character is exotic turn from spontaneity,contrarily,the latter is spontaneous turned from exotic.The causation of differences in RMA between China and West countries lies in their diversities among exterior environment,base of substance,main-body's ability and ideology .Different geography environments ,war practice and safety pressure decide the inequable RMF direction,motivity and requirement;the integrated level of science & technology and economy strength differentiate their ability to RMA's course;the regime's difference of civilian-stratocracy,agriculture-industrial society,conqueror-boong decide their decision-making efficiency ,the last reason is the character of different culture can advance or block the acceptablity of RMA 's value.All in all,The RMA in China in modern history trailed to West countries in latter day is inevitable.we can derive many lessons from the divergence in RMA,which can help us know Chinese place in the New Military Reform and find out a fine way to accomplish the army's modernization.
