Economics and economic activities are concerned with the full useand the efficient allocation of scarce resources to achieve the maximumwelfare. To this end, economic growth and income distribution are theessential ways. Also, it is a principal for people to share in economicgains and the wealth of the society. Economic development is wheeled byrapid economic growth and fair income distribution, which are also twofundamental goals pursued by the government. The government canimplement efficient policies to maximize individual's welfare fairly andachieve efficient and fair economic growth by regulating economicgrowth and income distribution, which is vital to the developing countries, especially to China. China is an agricultural country, which has 1.2 billion people and 70percent live in rural area to 2001.we always emphasize agriculture isnational economic basis and the smooth development of agriculture isalso the key of our economic growth. As we know, so many peasants ofchina are the principal part of agricultural development and if thesepeople are not rich that china is not rich. The growth of peasants' incomeis very slow for a long time and as a result, the enthusiasm of peasants isdiscouraged, even influences social stabilization. The paper regards income distribution theory of Marxism as a guidefrom the angle of economics mainly, using classical and moderneconomic growth theory and western income distribution as theoreticalmainstay to analyze the transformation of peasants income growth andexcavate the inside elements of restraining peasants' income growth inthe period from 1949 to now, and meanwhile to find efficient ways toresolve these problems. On the logic structure, regarding the transformation of peasantsincome distribution in the process of economic development of china asclue, regarding the income gap of town and country as the emphasis, thepaper those method: reviewing the reference, describing the problem, analyzing the basic theory, making configuration of the theory andresolving the realistic problem, which in accord with the researchparadigm of economics. Arranging in the chapter, the thesis divides into five parts. The part of the introduction has explained the realistic significanceof the paper, research method and main contents. The second part includes literature review on economic growth andwestern income distribution theories. Additionally this part gives us thetools to measure income allotment margin. The third part is the building of the relationship between economicgrowth and income distribution from two sides demand and supply.Further more, I introduced three strategy modes about growth anddistribution and explained the way of thinking of our country. The fourth part analyzed the change situation of peasants' incomedistribution structure and form for fifty years of China ,Regarding 1978as watershed. The fifth part investigated the reasons of the allotment marginchange of peasants ,city and country from the history, system andsociety and so on. In this part, I put forward some advice to increasepeasants' income and contract the income allotment margin. By studying the developing countries' experiences after the WorldWar 2, we can find out the truth that the countries giving consideration toboth economic efficiency and fair income distribution gained a consistentrapid economic growth, while the countries ignoring fair incomedistribution incurred a slow economic growth at the expense of economicinstability and cyclical crisis. A division into two opposing extremes inincome distribution reflects a distorting and unbalanced economicdevelopment. To eliminate the serious situation, the government has toregulate income distribution at an enormous expense. Because of the author's lack of knowledge and academic ability, thepaper has some weak points. First of all, there are others dynamicelements to affect peasants' income increase besides the static elementshave been put forward in this paper such as the flow of population and thejob change of peasants. Analyzing d...
