Legal research is an important part of the legal system in our country , and provide intelligence support for our country .Legal research in the law school of university ,is one of the dual contents in law school legal education .Legal research has an interaction with the legal teaching ,and it concentrates a lot of high-quality resources. Therefore , research the legal research in university is a meaningful problem . This article looks back the history of the legal research in the new China briefly. Affirm the achievement of our country since our country found , especially since the reform . We have a large amount of professional researchers today . The type of the legal research has been changed , abandon the old ideas and relieve the thought. We discover a lot of meaningful research contents .Law becomes an independent course ,and flows lots of research achievement .But at the same time ,we must make it clear that our legal research is still in the developing stage .We still exist distance between the advanced country . In the aspect of the researcher development, region development unbalance is serious .The quality of the researcher's work and life should be increased . In the research content aspect, compare with the law schools in the developed country ,we still have some distance. On the research method , we lack the plentiful and useful methods to support our legal research .And we are short of the scholarship evaluate system .It also exists the unbalance phenomenon between the legal research and legal teaching .For promoting our legal research in university and serving our legal work better ,this article bring some fundamental thoughts and some concrete suggestions .To resolve the unbalance problem in researchers, we should use the macroscopical and market methods to mobilize the power of country ,universities and the researchers themselves . Learn from the advanced law schools , process some advanced research contents . Think more of the legal research method , and use more plentiful method to research .Renew the scholarship evaluate system, abandon the academic corruption from the foundation .Use some balance method to make legal teaching and research harmonious ,to make the two parts develop better .It is a hardly mission .and need our hard and longtime work .
