Trade And Investment Integration, China's Foreign Trade Policy And Foreign Policy Coordination Study

With the globalization of the economy and the in-depth understanding of the international trade and international direct investment, it is recognized that international trade and international direct investment are virtually different choices of the same active entity. Transnational corporation is the body that combines international trade and direct investment. With the role of transnational corporation in world economy strengthening, more and more economic scholars inside and outside begin to pay attention to the integration of international trade and direct investment. The integration of international trade and direct investment is a kind of international economic phenomena, which indicates the international trade and direct investment's development is depend on each other, they are actually in one entity. However, because the research object and the theoretical precondition are entirely different, the traditional international trade theories and international direct investment theories were generally constructed and examined based upon two different analytical frameworks. Despite many scholars inside and outside made vast researches both on theories and demonstration, attempt to integrate the international trade theories and international direct investment theories. Yet there are still no integration theories have magnitude influence. The thesis draws heavily on preceding researches, combines the new development direction of the international trade and direct investment integration, analyses the influence on our country's economy development, points out the maladjustments which lie in our correlate policies. The thesis is divided into four parts. The structure is summarize theories, introduce status quo in brief, point out problems, and give the countermeasures. Part one: the evolution of the integration of the international trade theory and international direct investment theory. This part mainly provides a theoretical framework for the thesis. It includes the definition and the general knowledge of the integration of international trade theory and international direct investment theory, especially the newest theory since 1990's. Part two: the introduction of the development direction of the international trade and direct investment's integration in the world, and it's state quo development in china. This part mainly based on the economic reality. Because the integration influences almost every aspect of one society, high attention must be paid to it. It becomes necessary and urgent for us to make deep research on the integration of international trade and direct investment. Part three: the current problems exist in our international trade policy and direct investment policy. Under the economic globalization and integration, the harmony between trade policy and FDI policy becomes especially important. The problems exist in our country's trade and FDI policies have impeded economy develop rapidly, if they still exist for a long time, our country will lost the energy for sustainable development. Part four: the strategy target and the new thinking way for us to solve these problems. Based on the theory and reality analysis, for sustainable development, our government should harmonize the international trade policy and direct investment policy as soon as possible. Specific methods have been given under the main strategy target.
