Only by comparing can one distinguish, only by distinguishing can one adopt, only by adopting can one optimize , only by optimizing can one develop and rise fully. It is a universal law that all of construction of social undertaking must follow.This text aims at establishing value directions that our country's ideological and political education must have at present, making up the long-term mechanism of ideological and political education, providing proper theory and method support for three civilization specially for political civilization and spirit civilization building of socialism with Chinese characteristics, by comparing identical and different aspect of ideological and political education in China and west countries, adopting good qualities, giving up bad qualities; adopting strong points, giving up weak points, making use for me, depending on the guide of fundamental theory of Marxism , following the principle of "regard man as foundation, emancipate the mind, thinking correspond to reality ,advancing with times, initiation and innovation", according to the demand of "place me in the main position, absorb nourishment extensively, make use of foreign things for China".The difference of ideological and political education in China and west countries embody the following mainly: On the way of education, China tend to overt education, and adopt the way of compulsion mainly, but west countries tend to covert education, and adopt mild way; on the way of religion conviction, China always advocate religion part with ideological and political education, every people can adopt religion conviction by themselves; but in west countries, religion is close to ideological and political education; on the way of leadership and management, in China, ideological and political education under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, is managed and practiced by every people, but in major west countries, ideological and political education is guided and regulated by government, managed by local authorities; on the aspect ofcultivate objective, China aims at cultivating the new socialism people of "three face to" and "four have" that "face to the modernization, face to the word, face to the future, have ideals, have morals, have culture, have discipline", but west countries aims at cultivating qualified citizen of capitalism society.The identical aspect of ideological and political education in China and west countries embody the following mainly: All of China and west countries pay much attention to ideological and political education; instill in their people ideological and political ideas unremittingly; lay stress on social participation extensively ;on the aspect of cultivate objective, have unified ways as well as different level.The comparing itself of identical aspects and different aspects of China and west countries' ideological and political education is not the purpose. The purpose lies in through scientific analyze to establish and get due value orientation. The difference of ideological and political education in China and west countries is caused by different social system and culture background.
