Power Production Costs In The Bidding Under Study

Under the market of deregulated power system in China power industry, power plants have become the main parts of the power industry competition. The analysis on generating cost is the basis of price bidding and decision-making of competition strategy. It is also the foundation for power plants survive and develop in power market. The generating cost analysis is the topic which power plants have to be faced at present. Therefore, the generating cost analysis has significant meaning for power plants.In this paper, the studied contents are mainly focused on the following several aspects:1. On the base of the composition and characteristic, the generating cost is classified from the view point of fixed cost and varied cost. Under the deregulated power market environment, the concept of real-time generating cost and its calculating method are presented in this paper.2. Taking use of the Energy-loss analytic method, we analyze coal cost which maybe the most important elements of generating cost, and determine generating operation parameters which have important the effect on coal cost.3. Based on the curve that coal consumption varying with operational load, the calculating model of varied cost is established. Considering settling mode and trading characteristic of China power market, generating cost is analyzed by the method of profit and loss with 300MW unit in JianBi power plant. On the base of above analysis, we study and determine the generating cost, BEP (break-even-point) and bidding price under different operational load, which can provide reference for power plants price bidding.4. Various uncertain factors which affect total generating cost are analyzed and presented. Combining the analytic method of profit and loss, the generating cost is studied by the analytic method of sensitivity with standard coal price and power consumption ratio of power plants.5. As a application demonstration of above study results, the cost analysis system of JianBi power plant is introduced, which includes the main system structure and functions and implement program.
